Libreboot is a FLOSS BIOS replacement based on coreboot. It establishes itself as a distribution of coreboot, but with proprietary binary blobs removed (such as CPU microcode updates contained in coreboot). Libreboot makes coreboot easier to use by automating the build and installation processes and also provides binaries for various targets.
