Do you have access to a serial cable that would allow you to plug in to the IDC header for the BMC? As we are aware this is late to a customer, the fastest method to bypass the password issue would simply be to execute a BMC password reset over serial.

To make things easier, you can put the FPGA into reset via the DIP switch as soon as you have a U-boot prompt, that way the watchdog won't reset the BMC and you have more time to type the commands.

The i2c bus messages are, unfortunately, normal. This is something we've been working over time to fix in the kernel, but ASpeed has been fighting it somewhat. We'll be trying again at some point for the next firmware update cycle.

You can suppress them temporarily with “dmesg -n 0”.
